Teri Hatcher (star of TV's Desperate Housewives) knows how to throw a party. She also apparently knows how to host a garage sale. Inspired by her 11-year old daughter Emerson, Hatcher held a garage sale for charity and raised over $20,000.
According to the details, Hatcher's garage sale included clothes, purses, and her daugher's old toys, not unlike what you may be selling at your own garage sale.
What made Hatcher's sale a little more unique (and profitable) were things like Disney Hotel packages and some boots, which just happened to be autographed by her co-star Eva Longoria Parker.
The other pro-tip from Hatcher's garage sale which you may not be able to pull off is the $50 cover charge to explore the sale, whether or not you buy anything.
But hey, it's for charity! All the money raised is being given to Aviva Family And Children's Services, Casa Pacifica Centres For Children And Families and Westside Food Bank.
